So I know the feeling. Here's another post I've written with my thoughts and resources for figuring that out: http://caldwellorganizedchaos.blogspot.com/2015/09/teacher-tuesday-from-national-standards.htmlElizabeth Caldwellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12042281726294433770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4819722186267743707.post-38695629460361199772016-07-13T19:11:53.489-04:002016-07-13T19:11:53.489-04:00What about when you haven't got a curriculum? ...What about when you haven't got a curriculum? Now I just deal with the running around to set up, having the older kids take them out etc. Elizabeth Caldwellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12042281726294433770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4819722186267743707.post-85233683073330010302015-09-06T17:26:46.078-04:002015-09-06T17:26:46.078-04:00Thanks for hosting! I often had back-to-back classes, so I tried to teach the same concept to as many grade levels as was possible. That way, if we were working on specific rhythmic concepts in one grade, I could use some of the same instruments/materials in another grade. It didn't always work out, but it made things a little easier. #fermatafridaysAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04528207504273223827noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4819722186267743707.post-42360522476998622562015-08-29T04:58:48.126-04:002015-08-29T04:58:48.126-04:00Thanks for the comment! I remember as a new teacher feeling overwhelmed at the list of skills and concepts I was supposed to cover with each grade level, but once I realized that, unlike something like math, I could actually help students learn the concepts better by combining things, everything became a lot more manageable!Elizabeth Caldwellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12042281726294433770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4819722186267743707.post-26469518047003423512015-08-28T03:59:25.662-04:002015-08-28T03:59:25.662-04:00Great post.
